NBA: Toronto Raptor Valanciunas named Las Vegas Summer League MVP

Jonas Valanciunas was named the MVP of the 2013 NBA Las Vegas Summer League, and was joined on the All-NBA Summer League team by Kent Bazemore, Jeff Taylor, John Henson and Cody Zeller, the NBA announced Monday (Tuesday, PHL time).

Valanciunas was a 2011 first round pick by the Toronto Raptors, but he made his NBA debut just last season, putting up 8.90 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.30 blocks. In four summer league games, he led his squad with averages of 18.75 points on 56.1 percent field goal shooting and 10.0 rebounds.
He was joined by a pair of Charlotte Bobcats, 2012 second round pick Jeffrey Taylor (20.25 points, 2.75 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.75 steals in four games), and 2013 fourth overall choice Cody Zeller (16.25 points, 9.25 rebounds, 1.50 assists in four games).
Also in the group were 2012 undrafted Golden State Warriors swingman Kent Bazemore (18.50 points, 4.67 rebounds, 2.83 assists, 1.67 steals in six games) and 2012 Milwaukee Bucks first round pick power forward John Henson (14.67 points, 13.67 rebounds, 3.00 blocks in three games).
Of the group, only Bazemore is still playing, as his Warriors are currently battling the Phoenix Suns for the 2013 Las Vegas title. - AMD, GMA News
