Ginebra got the number one overall pick via Air21, which won the lottery last October 11, besting the GlobalPort Batang Pier, who would have sent the selection to Ginebra's sister team and current 2013 Governors' Cup champs San Mig Coffee Mixers. Instead, the Mixers will have to settle for the second overall pick.
Slaughter won two championships with the Ateneo Blue Eagles in the UAAP, and one with the NLEX Road Warriors in the PBA D-League.
Most analysts have either Slaughter or San Sebastian Stag and one-time NLEX Road Warrior Ian Sangalang going first in the draft. - AMD, GMA News
