The fourth selection was traded to Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, in exchange for forwards Rico Maierhofer and Willy Wilson. Ginebra in turn selected Arellano University swingman James Forrester.

The fifth selection changed multiple hands. The Petron Blaze Boosters initially dealt Magi Sison and Mark Isip to Barako to get it, before turning around and sending it to the GlobalPort Batang Pier for second-year center Yousef Taha. GlobalPort then picked up current UAAP MVP Terrence Romeo.

Finally, Barako sent away the sixth pick to GlobalPort as well, for Dennis Miranda. The Batang Pier then reunited Romeo and his FEU Tamaraws teammate RR Garcia. - AMD, GMA News
