The Philippine national women's team, also known as Perlas, settled for second place anew in the women's basketball tournament of the 27th Southeast Asian Games, officially closing out the tournament with an 80-31 demolition job of the hosts Myanmar.

Earlier in the day, Thailand picked up the gold following a no-bearing game against Indonesia, winning 66-52.

The Thais, defending champs of the contest, finished with a perfect 4-0 card. The Philippines came next with a 3-1 record, while Malaysia rounded out the top three, 2-2.

Camille Sambile and Cassie Tioseco combined for 35 markers, out-scoring their foes just by themselves.
