Former UST Growling Tigers standout Jeric Teng is looking forward to playing against his former college coach Pido Jarencio in the PBA.

"I'm very happy dahil si coach Pido naging head coach na rin sa PBA," said Teng at the launch of Virtual Sports Inc. of agent/managers Charlie Dy and Dondon Monteverde at Revolver in Bonifacio Global City on Thursday. "Yun talaga yung gusto nya. I'm very excited to play against coach Pido dahil all through my years talaga, sa kanya ako naglaro sa UST, sa PBA D-League. It's gonna be fun to play against my former coach."

Until then, the older of the Teng brothers is bracing for a physical battle against the Petron Blaze Boosters in Game 3 of the semifinals.

"Magiging phsyical sila samin lalo na we're [up] 2-0," Teng said. "Gagawin nila lahat para manalo and we're gonna expect that. We just do the same thing; we'll be making some adjustments. Siguro we'll do more of rebounding kasi natatalo kami sa rebounding."

With Rain or Shine head coach Yeng Guiao spreading the playing time among his players, Teng expects his team to rule the break against Petron.

"We need to push the ball more dahil yun yung advantage namin. Even minutes so lahat mas fresh yung legs compared to Petron," said Teng, who gets a little less than 13 minutes a game for four points and two rebounds. - AMD, GMA News
