Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard could be looking at NBA All-Star Weekend history. According to a report by Chris Haynes of Comcast Sportsnet, the sophomore could be involved in a record five events in the league’s annual exhibition festival.

Lillard was voted in as a reserve by coaches for the All-Star Game, he’s in the pool of players to be drafted for the Rookie/Sophomore Rising Stars game, and he’s set to defend his Skills Challenge title.

But in addition to those, Haynes is reporting that Lillard was asked to join the Three-Point Shooting Contest, as well as the Slam Dunk Contest, and that the 6’3” Weber State product has said yes to both.

The final rosters for the All-Star Weekend side events, along with the drafting of for the Rising Stars game, will be shown on Thursday (Friday, PHL time), on TNT’s Inside the NBA pre game show. - AMD, GMA News
