NBA: Bucks big man Larry Sanders out six weeks

Milwaukee Bucks center-forward Larry Sanders underwent successful surgery on Saturday to repair right orbital bone fractures and will be sidelined at least six weeks, the team announced Sunday (Monday, PHL time).

The Bucks are 9-43, the worst record in the NBA, and losing Sanders with a broken bone in his eye socket probably will not help.

Sanders, who signed a four-year, $44 million contract extension in the offseason, has struggled this season, averaging just 7.7 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.7 blocks this season. - Reuters
