Think the NLEX Road Warriors, Blackwater Sports and the KIA franchise have a difficult path ahead of them in terms of fielding a competitive PBA lineup? Well, PBA Commissioner Chito Salud hears you.

Salud, in a statement released on the league’s official Twitter account on Friday, said that the Board of Governors “has agreed to take a second look at these preliminary concessions for the purpose of giving the three expansion teams the opportunity to have a competitive lineup.”

The Commissioner added that the matter will be discussed on April 24, during the Board of Governors’ next meeting.

Previously, the league said that the three new franchises would get the 11th to 13th picks in this year’s draft. They won’t be able to have direct hires, due to the fact that only NLEX and Blackwater have PBA-DL franchises, and that the current teams will be able to protect 14 of their 16 players in the expansion draft. - AMD, GMA News
