Reil Cervantes scored 23 points to help Blackwater Sports defeat the Hog’s Breath Café Razorbacks, 89-74, on Tuesday at the JCSGO gym, for the team's third straight win in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup.

Gilbert Bulawan added 14 points and 10 rebounds while fellow veteran Pari Llagas had 10 markers, as the defending champion Blackwater Sports leaned on a 20-4 finish in the third quarter.

A three-point play by Cervantes jumpstarted Blackwater’s run with Don Trollano scoring back-to-back triples to put the Elite ahead, 59-49.

Cervantes scored Blackwater’s final seven points in the quarter for a sizable 69-51 lead entering the final period.

After a 0-2 start to the conference, Blackwater Sports (3-2) is now tied with Boracay Rum for fourth place in the standings.

Hog’s Breath (1-5) is on the brink of missing the six-team playoff round in the single-round elimination tournament, slipping to ninth place.

The Razorbacks were able to take a 39-38 lead at halftime after a 16-27 deficit in the first period. Kevin Racal started the third with a triple, 42-38, but Hog’s Breath failed to sustain its lead over the reigning champion.  - Reuben Terrado, SPIN
