Rain or Shine head coach Yeng Guiao apologized for the insult he used against Cliff Hodge after the Elasto Painters eliminated the Meralco Bolts on Saturday, but said that he still holds a grudge against the Meralco swingman.

Guiao and Hodge got into a verbal altercation after game two of Rain or Shine-Meralco quarterfinals series in the 2014 Commissioner's Cup, where he called him a dirty slur pertaining to persons with Down Syndrome.

Guiao was later fined P100,000 by the league for his words.

"I'm taking the opportunity to apologize to all who might've been offended by the term I used on Cliff Hodge," he said. "I meant no harm to the people offended, but my apology does not extend to him. But if there's another term I could call Cliff Hodge, I'd call him that."

It didn't do Hodge any favors that tonight in game three, Hodge caught Elasto Painter Jeff Chan with an elbow to the face during a transition play. The referees on the floor did not call any foul, drawing the ire of Guiao afterwards.

"I don't think he can help himself. He's also a human projectile who launches himself at players pretending to go for the ball, and he's hurt a lot of players doing that. He's a danger to this league," Guiao said. - RAF, GMA News
