Alaska Aces import Bill Walker and Meralco Bolts veteran forward Danny Ildefonso figured in a tussle early in the fourth quarter of a heated and physical tune-up match on Tuesday at the Meralco gym.
The fight erupted when Ildefonso appeared to have hit Walker with an elbow while trying to set a pick, prompting the Alaska import to respond by throwing the ball at the Bolts veteran.
Ildefonso retaliated by throwing a punch at Walker before players and officials from both sides spilled onto the court to break up the fight.
Witnesses also saw Meralco gunner Gary David trying to sneak in a punch at Walker before cooler heads prevailed.
Meralco was comfortably ahead, 100-84, with 7:13 to go in the tune-up game when the incident happened.
Ildefonso, David and Walker were all slapped with flagrant two fouls and face a summon from the Commissioner's Office.
Walker is the former NBA player, last with the New York Knicks during the 2011-12 season. He has since played stints with the Austin Toros and the Sioux Falls Skyforce, before becoming an import for a Venezuelan squad. - Richard Dy, SPIN
