After a grueling training camp in Miami, Gilas Pilipinas is now on its way to Spain for the FIBA World Cup that kicks off Aug. 30.

Head coach Vincent "Chot" Reyes on Wednesday morning (PHL time) tweeted the team had boarded a plane for Spain, which will host the tournament.

"On (the) plane to Spain. Guess what @drayblatche is watching? Phi vs Kaz in d last FIBA-Asia," Reyes said.

He was referring to recently naturalized reinforcement Andray Blatche, who trained with the team in Miami. Blatche had played for the US NBA's Brooklyn Nets last season.

A photo included in Reyes' tweet showed Blatche watching a replay of Gilas' game against Kazakhstan in last year's FIBA Asia tournament.

The Philippine team manhandled the Kazakhstan team in the FIBA Asia championship quarterfinals, 88-58, last year.
