NBA: ‘Linsanity’ returning? Jeremy Lin dunks on mom
Could this be a sign of 'Linsanity' returning?
Asian-American NBA star Jeremy Lin posted on his Instagram account this week a video of him dunking, over several people - including his own mother.
Asian-American NBA star Jeremy Lin posted on his Instagram account this week a video of him dunking, over several people - including his own mother.
Near the end of the short video, Lin was shown leaping over a companion, then catching and dunking a mini ball into a mini-hoop held by another cohort - catching his own mother by surprise.
He eventually apologized to his mom with the hashtag #sorrymom.
Lin said the video is part of his Fan Appreciation Week, where he encouraged his followers to send in their JLinDunkCam video.
"All submissions will be judged on creativity, execution and post-dunk celebration lol. You MUST use #JLinDunkCam so we can find the video and post by midnight pst today," he said.
Lin, however, may not get to dunk all that often when the NBA season starts – he'll be playing point for his new team, the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Asian-American guard sparked 'Linsanity' in 2012 when as a guard for the New York Knicks, he sparked excitement among teammates and fans with a streak of games where he became a scoring machine.
Lin was acquired by the Houston Rockets and spent two seasons there but struggled.
He was traded to the Lakers in the 2014 offseason. — Joel Locsin/RSJ, GMA News
