2014 PBA Draft: Ginebra fan Rodney Brondial a popular choice for Gin Kings at No. 6

Former Adamson Falcons big man Rodney Brondial was still shaking moments after being selected sixth overall by Barangay Ginebra San Miguel in the PBA draft on Sunday

"Nanginginig pa nga ako eh. Sobrang kabado talaga ako eh. Hindi ko ine-expect, hindi ko ine-expect," he said.

Brondial had admitted that he had been a lifelong fan of the league's crowd darlings, making his entry into the Ginebra fold a dream come true.

"Lahat sila, parang idol ko talaga eh," he said.

A 6-foot-5 banger with a good motor, Brondial's game has been compared to that of Marc Pingris.

Brondial's selection drew loud cheers from the crowd at Robinsons Manila, and his name quickly became a trending topic online.
