The NBA announced that it has signed a multi-year partnership with Globe Telecom to offer the NBA League Pass to the Philippine telecommunications giant's subscribers in an effort to bring the world's biggest basketball league closer to Filipinos.
Exclusive to Globe users, the League Pass will allow fans to watch NBA games live through their mobile devices, as well as All-Star weekend events, the playoffs, and the finals.
Select pre-season and Summer League games can also be accessed, aside from multi-game viewing, play markers, and stats options.
"With Globe, customers have access to the NBA, where they can watch the games they want, when they want, how they want, along with highlights, stats and other features," said Globe Chief Operating Advisor Peter Bithos in a press release.
Additional NBA content will also be available through Globe's New PisoMall video platform, which could be accessed from both smartphones and feature phones by Globe and Touch Mobile subscribers.
“Through this new partnership, Globe will have a presence across all areas of the NBA experience and bring the game closer to our millions of fans throughout the country," said NBA Asia Managing Director Scott Levy. — Marisse Panaligan/JST, GMA News
