PBA: Cabagnot packs the stats in GlobalPort's win over Blackwater

Alex Cabagnot was one point and one assist shy of a triple double to lead GlobalPort past Blackwater, 87-72, Sunday at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum.
"It's a total team effort; yung balik ni Alex [Cabagnot] nagkaroon ng flow yung offense namin," said GlobalPort coach Pido Jarencio. "Rookies nag step up. Si [Anthony] Semerad, si John Pinto, at si Paolo Taha nag-contribute especially sa defense. Sana tuloy-tuloy na ito, magkaroon ng kumpiyansa players at maging fluid takbo namin."
Cabagnot had nine points, nine assists, 11 rebounds and two steals in 38 minutes of play. Ronjay Buenafe registered 17 markers, while Anthony Semerad only missed once from the field for 16 points. Stanley Pringle and Keith Jensen chipped in 14 apiece.
Up by just five at the half, GlobalPort rode the hot-shooting of Alex Cabagnot and Stanley Pringle en route to a 25-13 output in the third. Heading into the payoff period, GlobalPort was up 17 points, 70-53.
In the fourth, GlobalPort was down by as much as 24 points, when Keith Jensen knocked down a jumper at the 5:36 mark, 84-60.
Bryan Faundo had 16 points off the bench with 10 boards for Blackwater, while Bam Gamalinda had 15. Paul Artadi scored 11, while Sunday Salvacion tallied 10. - Renee Fopalan, GMA News
