PBA: Cabagnot leads San Miguel to 2-0 series lead against Talk 'N Text

Alex Cabagnot had 21 points to lead the San Miguel Beermen to an 87-81 victory over the Talk n' Text Tropang Texters on Sunday at Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
With the win, the Beermen now enjoy a 2-0 lead in their best-of-seven series.

"It's a nice game; fortunately we were able to snag this one. Their [TNT's] level of offense and defense was really different," said San Miguel head coach Leo Austria. "Our team didn't give up, their composure is always there, they mean business talaga."

Leading Best Player of the Conference candidate June Mar Fajardo added 15 points and 12 rebounds, going 11 for 11 from the charity stripe. Chris Lutz had 14, while Arwind Santos had 10 points and seven boards.

"They tripled team Junemar kaya he committed a lot of turnovers. Junemar sa end ng quarter nag-shine talaga sya dahil sa freethrows nya," Austria added.

The Texters relied heavily on their starters, with Jayson Castro scoring 26 points while facilitating for nine assists and three steals. Jay Washington had 17 points, while Matt Ganuelas-Rosser posted 11 points and eight boards. Ranidel De Ocampo was limited to 10 points and six rebounds.
