Free admission to PBA Commissioner's Cup opening day on Jan. 27

In a gesture of thanks to the thousands of fans who attended the championship game of the Philippine Cup, the PBA will give out free general admission tickets on opening day of the Commissioner's Cup on Tuesday, January 27.
A total of 22,511 fans watched Game Seven between the San Miguel Beer and Alaska on Wednesday, the largest crowd since the season opener in the Philippine Arena.
The Beermen prevailed in the thrilling battle that saw the Aces climb back from a 23-point hole in the first half, before finals Most Valuable Player Arwind Santos quelled the fierce Alaska rally with a dagger three-pointer late in the game.
With the first conference of the season over, teams are preparing for the next stage in the league, the mid-season tournament Commissioner's Cup which features imports.
Manny Pacquiao's Kia will open the game day against GlobalPort at 4:15 pm at Mall of Asia Arena, followed by Ginebra and Meralco at 7 p.m. for the doubleheader. — Marisse Panaligan/JST, GMA News
