PBA: Three players ejected as Talk 'N Text ties series against Rain or Shine

Ranidel De Ocampo had 33 points, while Talk 'N Text capitalized on Wayne Chism's early foul trouble to earn a 99-92 win on Wednesday against the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.

With the win, the Texters now tie the 2015 Commissioner's Cup series with two games won each.

The two teams were virtually tied at the half, as a pair of Chris Tiu charities cut TNT's lead to one, 42-41, heading into the halftime break.

It was a different story in the third, as the tirumvirate of Ranidel De Ocampo, Ivan Johnson and Jason Castro strung conversions to push the lead up to 13 points, 63-50, with 4:53 left in the period. Seven points from Chris Tiu and freethrows from Wayne Chism canceled out makes from De Ocampo, Johnson and Kevin Alas, as the Texters looked to maintain a double digit advantage heading into the fourth. A late make from Raymond Almazan decreased the deficit to eight, as TNT held on to an eight-point spread, 74-66.

Things got heated in the fourth, as three players were ejected. Rain or Shine seemed like they were poised for a comeback, as Chism and Tiu teamed up to cut the lead to four, 74-70, with 10:41 to go. But with 9:47 left in the game, TNT's Matt Ganuelas-Rosser figured in an altercation with Rain or Shine's Jireh Ibanes. The Elasto Painters' bigman JR Quinahan joined the fray by hitting Ganuelas-Rosser on the head with the ball, and the three were assessed disqualifying fouls leading to their ejection.

Larry Fonacier, Jayson Castro, and Ranidel De Ocampo were quick to capitalize, finding their spots to build a 14-point edge with 5:26 left, 92-78. The Texters took care of the lead until the final buzzer, as a three-point play from Chism settled the final score. - GMA News
