The PBA has sanctioned Barangay Ginebra San Miguel coach Frankie Lim for his actions in his team's game against Alaska last Saturday in the Governors' Cup quarterfinals.
The league announced on Tuesday that it had slapped Lim with a one-game suspension and a P50,000 fine for hitting Alaska forward Calvin Abueva during an altercation in the third quarter of the game. Abueva fell near the Ginebra bench after getting entangled with Gin Kings import Orlando Johnson, leading tempers to flare.
Alaska ended up winning the game, 114-108, to eliminate the Gin Kings from contention.
Lim will likely serve his suspension in next season's Philippine Cup. —JST, GMA News
