Talk 'N Text acquired the services of Barako Bull Energy swingman Dylan Ababou as the team continues to bolster its lineup for the upcoming PBA season.

The Tropang Texters gave up their 2016 second round pick to land the former University of Santo Tomas stalwart in the deal approved on Wednesday.

Ababou, who averaged 6.1 points in 14.2 minutes of play in last season's Governors' Cup, will join Larry Fonacier, Matt Ganuelas-Rosser, Ryan Reyes, and Aaron Aban on the wings for the Texters.

A former UAAP Most Valuable Player, the 28-year-old is expected to provide energy for the Texters, who are seeking to reclaim the All-Filipino championship and defend their Commissioners' Cup crown.

Talk 'N Text retooled its roster in the off-season, landing No. 1 pick Moala Tautuaa in the rookie draft and later acquiring No. 2 pick Troy Rosario from Mahindra in a three-team deal.

The Texters also let go of previously retired point guard Jimmy Alapag to acquire sweet-shooting big man Larry Rodriguez in another three-team deal. —Marisse Panaligan/JST, GMA News
