Reigning Most Valuable Player June Mar Fajardo hurt his left knee in the ongoing semifinals Game Six between San Miguel Beer and Rain or Shine.

The 6-foot-10 center went down on the floor clutching his knee after battling for position with Elasto Painter wingman Jireh Ibanes at the 7:11 mark of the third quarter.

San Miguel was leading 52-49.

Shortly after getting examined by the team doctor inside the Beermen's dugout, Fajardo was taken to the St. Luke's Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.

Team manager Gee Abanilla could not say what was the initial prognosis, only that the San Miguel slotman was in pain. —APG/JST, GMA News
