Sorry UP, NU: Adamson beats UST to enter final four

The Adamson Falcons completed the UAAP Season 79 final four cast after beating the University of Santo Tomas, 76-61, on Wednesday.
With the win, Adamson ended UP and NU's chances of entering the final four in the Falcons' first season under new coach Franz Pumaren. The last time the Falcons were in the semifinals was in Season 74.
Up just 56-50 after the first three quarters, Adamson leaned on Robbie Manalang, Sean Maganti, and Jerrick Ahanmisi for a combined 14 points to outscore UST 20-11 in the final 10 minutes.
Ahanmisi and Manalang finished the game with 16 points each, while Sean Maganti and JD Tungcab chipped in nine and eight points, respectively. Terrence Mustre and Papi Sarr also had seven points each.
Jon Sheriff led UST with 13 points in 33 minutes, while Kent Lao added 12. Reggie Basibas tallied eight points off 13 shot attempts, while Louie Vigil was limited to six points in 14 minutes of play. —JST, GMA News
