Greene gets 33 as TNT trips GlobalPort

Donte Greene scored 33 points with 10 rebounds as the TNT KaTropa faced little resistance against the GlobalPort Batang Pier for a 109-88 win on Friday at the Araneta Coliseum.

Up by just five at the start of the third period, TNT uncorked an 8-0 run to stretch their lead, 64-51.

TNT was able to stretch the lead to 17 at the start of the final frame, leading by as many as 23 points to enjoy the win.

Jayson Castro and Roger Pogoy led the local starters with 15 and 10 points, respectively, while Ranidel De Ocampo and Larry Fonacier combined for 26 off the bench.

GlobalPort relied heavily on their starters, with Malcolm White scoring 21 points with 16 rebounds. Terrence Romeo had 20 markers with five boards and four assists, while JR Quinahan chipped in 19. Stanley Pringle, meanwhile, scored 15 points with seven rebounds. — DVM, GMA News
