The Magnolia Hotshots virtually doubled Phoenix’s output in the fourth period to earn a 97-91 victory at the Cuneta Astrodome on Saturday.

Paul Lee led Magnolia with 20 points, while Rome Dela Rosa added 17 markers as a starter. Ian Sangalang paced the bench with 16, while Rafi Reavis and Mark Barroca finished the game with 12.

Down 75-67, the Hotshots went on a 13-5 5 run to knot the game at 80-all with 5:55 to go in the fourth. The two teams remained tied until the 2:23 mark, before Ian Sangalang and Paul Lee completed a 4-0 swing to give Magnolia the lead.

Belo Alolino canned two crucial charities with 40 seconds left to make it a one possession game, but Rafi Reavis tipped back a Paul Lee miss to give Magnolia the win.

Only Jeff Chan scored in double figures for the Phoenix starters with 12, as Gelo Alolino scored 19. Matthew Wright, meanwhile, chipped in 17. — DVM , GMA News
