Dwane Casey will be the Toronto Raptors' first-ever head coach in the All-Star Game, as he will guide LeBron James' team on Feb. 18 at Staples Center.

The Raptors' win on Sunday guaranteed them at least the second-best record in the Eastern Conference through Feb. 4. Brad Stevens, who heads the East-leading Boston Celtics, is not eligible for the honor after coaching in last year's All-Star Game.

Casey will be coaching against two of his own players, DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry, after both were picked by Western Conference captain Stephen Curry in this week's draft. Houston Rockets head coach Mike D'Antoni had already been named to coach Team Stephen.

The 60-year-old Casey has gone 347-299 in nine seasons as an NBA head coach, including 294-230 in seven campaigns with the Raptors. He's helped them to the four winningest seasons in franchise history and four straight trips to the playoffs, including the franchise's first-ever Eastern Conference Finals appearance two seasons ago. — Reuters
