Nabong, Anthony combine for 42 in GlobalPort's win over Kia

The GlobalPort Batang Pier relied on a strong second quarter to cruise past Kia Picanto, 108-91, on Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum.
Down 26-23 after the opening period, the Batang Pier overwhelmed the Picanto 28-14 in the second to take the lead.
Kia, meanwhile, struggled to overcome the deficit, only managing to match GlobalPort’s production in the third while allowing 30 points in the payoff period to allow the Batang Pier to earn the win.
The Batang Pier got a lot from their starters, as Sean Anthony and Kelly Nabong had 21 points each.
The two also combined for 21 rebounds, with the latter registering five blocks. Stanley Pringle scored 15 with eight rebounds and five assists, while rookie Julian Sargent rounded up the starters in double figures with 12.
Reden Celda paced Kia with 20 points, five assists, and four boards, while Rashawn McCarthy and Eric Camson added 14 and 12 points, respectively. — BAP, GMA News
