Cruz, Williams lead TNT past NLEX
The TNT KaTropa buried the NLEX Road Warriors early in the game, cruising to a 101-75 victory in the 2018 PBA Philippine Cup.
TNT’s offense was on point on Wednesday, hitting 58 points at the half while limiting NLEX to just 28 for an early blowout.
The Road Warriors never recovered, as the KaTropa at one point led by as many as 38 points.
Jericho Cruz and Kelly Williams led the starters with 17 points apiece, with the latter also tallying 1 rebounds.
Troy Rosario paced the bench with 14, while RR Pogoy and Jayson Castro scored 13 and 10 points, respectively.
TNT shot a high 47 percent from the field, while limiting NLEX to just 38. The KaTropa also outclassed their foes in the rebounding department, 59-39.
Kevin Alas was the only NLEX starter in double figures with 14, as JR Quinahan tried to carry his team off the bench with 20 points and seven boards. Rabeh Al-Hussaini, meanwhile, scored 10. — BAP, GMA News
