Kobe Paras: I'm going pro

In a video posted on his Instagram account Friday morning, Filipino hoops sensation Kobe Paras said he is taking his game to the pros.

"I know it seems like a giant step that no one was expecting, but that is what makes this one of the greatest announcements of my life," Paras wrote in the video caption.

The son of PBA Legend Benjie Paras transferred to California State University Northridge (CSUN) last year. Prior to his stint as a CSUN Matador, he also played for the Creighton University Bluejays.

"Although I am a Bluejay & Matador at heart and thank Coach Theus and the CUSN staff for everything...it's time for me to shape my own destiny in an even bigger wave," added Paras.
