Jerramy King hit 30 points with seven rebounds and six assists to steer the Columbian Jeep to a 126-98 victory over the Blackwater Elite in the 2018 Commissioner's Cup.

King, who went undrafted in the 2014 NBA Draft, was selected deep in the fourth round of the 2015 PBA Draft by the NLEX Road Warriors, spending his time playing for the Pacquiao Powervit Pilipinas Aguilas and the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, before finding a home with the Columbian Jeep.

The 27-year-old California native also had help from Rashawn McCarthy who tallied 22 markers, while Dyip’s bench were led by Carlo Lastimosa with 12 points. Ronald Tubid and Eric Camson added 12 points apiece.

Up just four at the half, 59-55, the Dyip poured in 28 points in the third while allowing just 17 to establish an 87-72 lead in the fourth to cruise to victory.

Blackwater shot an acceptable 40 percent to Columbian’s 43, but the Dyip connected for 13 triples while limiting Blackwater to just three. The Dyip also led in assist, 27-17, and steals, 22-5, to make up for the 71-55 rebounding disparity.

Jarrid Famous poured 35 points for the Elite, while Allein Malikso tallied 22. No other player aside from Mac Belo scored in double figures for Blackwater. — DVM, GMA News
