The TNT KaTropa proved to be too much for the Columbian Dyip, as they cruised to a 123-95 victory on Friday at the MOA Arena in the elimination round of the 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup.

It was all TNT the whole game, with the KaTropa leading from start to finish. At one point, TNT was ahead by 40 big points, as they pummeled Columbian 68-46 in the paint. Coach Nash Racela’s bench also overwhelmed their counterparts 65-49 en route to victory.

Troy Rosario led TNT with 21 points, while Terrence Romeo filled up his stats sheet with 19 markers, seven boards, and five assists. Jericho Cruz was the spark off the bench with 17 points, while Kelly Williams, Don Trollano and Joshua Smith chipped in 11 apiece.

John Fields carried Comlumbian with 34 points and 20 rebounds, as the rest of the starters struggled with a combined 12 points. Rashawn McCarthy was limited to five points off an atrocious 1 of 15 clip, but he accounted for six boards and six assists. Ronald Tubid led the bench with 12 points, as Eric Camson and Carlo Lastimosa combined for 20.

The Dyip just couldn’t contain TNT, as the KaTropa hit a high 54 percent from the field. They shot just 29 percent from beyond the arc, but were effective from within to the tune of 63 percent. Columbian, on the other hand, struggled for just 34 percent from the field, while committing 21 turnovers.

With the win, TNT improved to 5-1 to tie Rain or Shine atop the standings, while Columbian slid to 3-4. — DVM, GMA News
