Brownlee hits 28 as Ginebra pummels Alaska
Barangay Ginebra San Miguel led from start to finish, facing little resistance from the Alaska Aces for a 105-86 victory in the 2018 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
The Gin Kings established a double digit lead in the opening period and never looked back, stretching their advantage to a high of 33 points to earn the win.
Justin Brownlee led GInebra with 28 points, while LA Tenorio tallied 12. Japeth Aguilar and Sol Mecado scored 10 points each.
Coach Tim Cone’s squad outclassed their opponents in the rebounding department, 67-46, enough for a 18-8 advantage in second chance points.
No Alaska starter scored in double figures, as the first five settled for a combined 8 of 31 clip from the field. Import Antonio Campbell struggled for just six points with two fieldgoals in nine attempts.
