Durant moved by overwhelming support of Filipino fans
Kevin Durant took the time to meet fans in Taguig City on Sunday, as throngs of supporters braved the heat and the subsequent rain to catch a glimpse of the reigning NBA Finals MVP.
After the fan event, the Golden State Warrior shared how overwhelming it was to be among some of the most rabid basketball fans in the planet.
“It’s amazing, the love for the game. I look forward to the next couple of days, meeting more basketball fans,” he said.

Durant is in the middle of a three-leg Asian tour, which started in Guangzhou, China. After Manila, he will visit Taipei for a similar event to promote his new sneaker, the Nike KD11.
The second overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft started his career with the Seattle SuperSonics, before the franchise relocated to Oklahoma City.
“It’s been a movie. It’s been a rollercoaster. So many different emotions,” said the 2014 NBA MVP. “I’ve learned so much from basketball that I try to apply in my personal life. I’ve been to so many cool places. I’m just grateful, experiencing things for the first time. Something me and my friends can talk about forever.” — BM, GMA News
