Following the brawl between Gilas Pilipinas and the Australian national team, the next home game of the Philippine team will be played closed doors.

In a press conference following FIBA’s announcement of penalties, SBP President Al Panlilio explained that the next home game of the Philippine team will be played without a crowd.

Broadcast coverage of the game, however, will be allowed.

Gilas’ next home game will be against Qatar, but Panlilio added that if there is no untoward incident in the said match, the next home game will most likely be available to the fans.

Panlilio bared that FIBA's original decision was to have three of Gilas’ next home games be closed door events, but the penalty was reduced to just one game. — LA, GMA News
