Barong-clad Philippine team poses wackily at the 18th Asian Games opening ceremonies

Before things turn competitively serious at the Asian games, the Philippine contingent had a bit of a fun, posing for a series of wacky photos clad in their barongs at the opening ceremony in Jakarta, Indonesia on Saturday.

A few members of the team posted photos on their respective Instagram accounts doing fun poses as they proudly wave Philippine flags in one hand, each of them dressed in a stylish Barong Tagalog.

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Jordan Clarkson led the Philippine team through the colorful opening parade at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium, after much drama with getting his clearance from the NBA.

The Philippines was among the 45 nations who marched and represented their countries in the opening ceremony.

Around 6,000 athletes were in attendance at the event.
