The San Antonio Spurs announced Thursday they have exercised their fourth-year team option on point guard Dejounte Murray through the 2019-20 season.

The Spurs' first-round pick in 2016, Murray became the youngest player in NBA history to make an All-Defensive Team (Second) in 2017-18 and set a franchise record for rebounds by a point guard (459).

Murray, who turned 22 earlier this month, is entering his third season. In 119 games, he has averaged 6.6 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists.

San Antonio also picked up the fourth-year option on center Jakob Poeltl and the third-year option for guard Derrick White, both for the 2019-20 campaign.

Acquired from the Raptors in the DeMar DeRozan-Kawhi Leonard blockbuster in July, Poeltl appeared in all 82 games for Toronto in 2017-18 and averaged 6.9 points and 4.8 rebounds.

White, San Antonio's first-round pick in 2017, played in 14 games as a rookie and averaged 3.2 points and 1.5 rebounds per game. — Field Level Media/Reuters
