UP's Bright Akhuetie is MVP, Ateneo's Angelo Kouame is named Rookie of the Year
The University Athletic Association of the Philippines just released the basketball individual awards for season 81 and representatives from the UP Fighting Maroons and the Ateneo Blue Eagles — the teams battling it out in the finals — are among the recipients.
With statistical points of 82.5, UP's Bright Akhuetie has been named the season's Most Valuable Player.
Ateneo's Angelo Kouame meanwhile, has statistical points of 76.21 and has been named Rookie of the Year.
The Mythical Five is comprised of Bright Akhuetie (UP), Justine Baltazar (DLSU), Alvin Pasaol (UE), Jerrick Ahanmisi (AdU), and Juan Gomez De Liano UP).

In the women's division, UST dominated with players Reynalyn Ferrer winning Rookie of the Year and Malu Irebu winning MVP.
