Derek Ramsay has played his first game in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League.

The Kapuso star was part of the Batangas Athletics-Tanduay lineup that triumphed at home over the Caloocan Supremos-Victory Liner, 80-67, on Thursday evening.

Ramsay, who stars in The Better Woman on GMA primetime, scored on a backdoor cut early in the fourth period, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

Jason Melano posted a double-double performance of 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Athletics, while Jhaymo Eguilos added 16 points and nine boards. Jeff Viernes also had 16 for Batangas. —JST, GMA News
