Chabi Yo double-double lifts UST past FEU

UST big man Soulemane Chabi Yo registered a double-double 21 points and 15 rebounds to allow the Growling Tigers to outlast the FEU Tamaraws, 82-74, Sunday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
The España-based squad went hot in the third period, limiting the Tams to just 16 against their 30-point performance, to end at 64-55.
FEU tried to make a comeback but the third quarter storm was too much for the Morayta-based squad despite their 19-point performance against UST's 18 in the final quarter.
The green-and-gold squad got off to a hot start with a dominant 24-14 first quarter performance, but the Tigers clawed their way to end the first half with just a five-point deficit, 39-34.
Aside from Chabi Yo, three other Tigers scored in double digits, with Sherwin Concepcion waxing hot from rainbow country and scoring 12 points, all from triples.
Mark Nonoy and Renzo Subido chipped in 11 apiece.
With the win, the Tigers are now 4-2 in the standings, while FEU dropped to 2-3.
