NorthPort deals Sol Mercado to Phoenix, acquires LA Revilla, Rey Guevarra

Sol Mercado is once again on the move as NorthPort traded him to Phoenix Pulse in exchange for LA Revilla and Rey Guevarra.

The 35-year-old guard played 15 minutes per game in the recently concluded PBA Governors' Cup, where the Batang Pier finished with a 5-6 record.

With the deal, the Fuel Masters added a veteran playmaker in its back court after missing the playoffs with only three wins in the elimination round.

Mercado previously played for Rain or Shine, Meralco Bolts, San Miguel Beermen, and Barangay Ginebra. He won three championships during his stint with the Gin Kings. —MGP, GMA News
