Kobe Bryant was known for facing any challenge, and apparently, that included Philippine folk dances.

In Oscar Oida's report for "24 Oras," the basketball icon was seen showing off his magnificent footwork as he danced Tinikling during his first visit to the country in 1998.

The Black Mamba, who had only played for two years in the NBA back then, did not miss a beat even after the rhythm increased in speed.

The old footage resurfaced after news broke that Bryant, 41, died in a helicopter crash on Monday morning (PHL time).

His daughter Gianna, 13, was also among the nine people who were killed in the tragic accident amid foggy weather.

The father and daughter were on their way to Thousand Oaks to coach and play a basketball game, living their dream in the sport they both loved.

Bryant is survived by his wife Vanessa and daughters Natalia, Bianka, and Capri, who is only seven months old. —MGP, GMA News
