3 FIBA Asia Cup 2021 qualifier games postponed due to COVID-19 threat

Several games for the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 qualifiers have postponed due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

FIBA Asia Cup announced this development on Friday via Twitter.

Affected games were the following:

• Philippines vs Thailand on Febuary 20
• Japan vs. China on February 21
• China vs. Malaysia on February 24

"The new dates will be announced later!" FIBA Asia Cup said.

The death toll from China's COVID-19 epidemic rose to 1,483 on Friday but the number of new infections in hard-hit Hubei province fell after a change in case definitions caused a massive increase the previous day.  —KBK, GMA News
