Roger Yap airs his side after Vico Sotto slammed unnamed PBA player over treatment of Pasig personnel

Roger Yap aired his side after Mayor Vico Sotto slammed a "former PBA player" over his alleged treament of Pasig City personnel distributing financial aid to residents.

He wasn't named by the mayor, but some netizens guessed he was the one involved as a former teammate of Sotto's brother-in-law Marc Pingris.

In Mariz Umali's report for "24 Oras," Yap said he did not get angry with the city hall personnel and that Sotto probably misinterpreted what happened.

"Ang problema lang kasi dinagdagan 'yung kuwento. Ang dumating kay Mayor, nagmumura daw ako, nagwawala daw ako diyan," he said.

Yap said he only told the city hall personnel that they were wrong to distribute food coupons instead of relief goods.

Yap said he and Sotto already talked to each other with the help of Pingris.

Ang damage nangyari na," he said.

The former player said he was being bashed online.

—MGP, GMA News
