Mark Nonoy, Deo Cuajao transfer to La Salle after UST departure
Mark Nonoy and Deo Cuajao are moving from España to Taft.
De La Salle University welcomed the two players on Tuesday, one day after they said their farewells to the University of Santo Tomas in the aftermath of the "Sorsogon bubble."
The pair traveled to Davao City together with Team Phenom Sports president Jackson Chua to meet Atty. Mans Carpio, the new program booster of the Green Archers.
"Through the years, La Salle has become one of the biggest and proudest collegiate basketball programs in the country. My goal is to open the doors of the school to more homegrown players who cannot afford to study there through sports," Carpio said in a press release.
The lawyer is said to have played a huge part in recruiting Nonoy, who is from Negros Occidental, and Cuajao, who is from Davao.
The two players will serve residency and sit out one year before becoming eligible for the UAAP Season 84 tournament. —MGP, GMA News
