Sage Tolentino commits to US NCAA Division I school Auburn University

Filipino teen tower Sage Tolentino has committed to play for US NCAA Division I school Auburn University.

Tolentino made the announcement in his Instagram post on Thursday.

“My family and I have prayed about this day since I was a kid. I am beyond blessed and I give God all the Glory,” he wrote.

According to Tolentino, Auburn is “exactly the program I want to spend my time at developing at the next level.”

Prior to choosing Auburn, Tolentino received offers from University of Kansas and University of Kentucky.

Standing at 7 foot, the 16-year old Tolentino won two state championships with the Maryknoll Spartans.

Last June, Tolentino met with fellow Filipino big man Kai Sotto, who will play for the NBA G League select team Ignite. – Justin Kenneth Carandang/RC, GMA News
