TNT dominates SMB, extends streak to 3-0
TNT Tropang Giga now holds a 3-0 record in the PBA Philippine Cup elimination round after dominating the San Miguel Beermen, 107-88, Friday.
TNT led by 22, 92-70, at the end of the third period after a Simon Enciso pull up jumper at the 0:08 mark. It was already too much for the Beermen, their closest at the fourth period being at 94-79 after Paul Zamar completed a three-point play.
The Tropang Giga took control early in the game, dominating the defending champs, 57-38, at the end of the first two periods.
Terrence Romeo hurt his shoulder during the second quarter after a collision with Ryan Reyes and was taken out of the game. Prior to what happened, Romeo already listed 11 points on 3-of-4 triples.
San Miguel has yet to win inside the bubble and now holds a 1-2 card. Their only win was during the season’ s opener against Magnolia.
JP Erram registered a career-high 27 points on top of 15 boards, while Ray Parks made 22 points.
Alex Cabagnot topped SMB in scoring with 15, while Marcio Lassiter listed 14 markers.
On Monday, TNT will play Phoenix while the Beermen will try to bounce back against Terrafirma Dyip.
