Kobe Paras, Gomez de Liaño brothers lead Gilas Pilipinas lineup for November qualifiers


Gilas Pilipinas' 12-man lineup for the November window of the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 qualifiers has been released on Thursday.

Among the Gilas core drafted in the PBA but lent to the national team, only Allyn Bulanadi has been cut from the final roster.

Isaac Go, Rey Suerte, and Matt and Mike Nieto will be reinforced by collegiate standouts from the UAAP and the NCAA.

University of the Philippines' Kobe Paras, Juan and Javi Gomez de Liaño will join the all-cadets squad who will face Thailand in in Manama, Bahrain.

Justine Baltazar, Kemark Cariño, Will Navarro, Dwight Ramos, and Dave Ildefonso complete the lineup.

Calvin Oftana and Jaydee Tungcab were among the final cuts from the 16-man Gilas Pilipinas pool. Angelo Kouame was also dropped from the list.

The Gilas young guns will face the Thais on Friday and Monday, as Korea backed out from the second window of the bubble.
