Stanley Pringle bags 2020 PBA Philippine Cup Best Player of the Conference plum
Stanley Pringle of the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel was named as Best Player of the Conference (BPC) of the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup on Sunday.
Pringle bested fellow standouts Calvin Abueva (Phoenix), Ray Parks (TNT), CJ Perez (Terrafirma), RR Pogoy (TNT), and Matthew Wright (Phoenix) for the top award of the league's 'bubble' season.
At the end of the elimination round, Pringle registered an average of 18.73 points and 6.36 rebounds per game.
A BPC award was given in lieu of the usual Most Valuable Player award since the league only played one conference.
Earlier, Meralco's Aaron Black won the Outstanding Rookie award.
Here are the other winners of the PBA's special awards:
Elite Five
-Stanley Pringle (Barangay Ginebra)
-Matthew Wright (Phoenix)
-Japeth Aguilar (Barangay Ginebra)
-JP Erram (TNT)
-Calvin Abueva (Phoenix)
Sportsmanship Award: Scottie Thompson (Barangay Ginebra)
Most Improved Player: Prince Caperal (Barangay Ginebra)
Parts of the criteria in choosing the winners of the individual awards are statistical points, votes from fellow players, media personnel, and the PBA office. — LA, GMA News
