WNBL top pick Fille Claudine Cainglet gets drafted while in OR

Medical doctor and former University of the Philippines player Fille Claudine Cainglet was the top pick of the Chooks-To-Go Women's National Basketball League (WNBL).

Cainglet was chosen by Glutagence Glow Boosters in WNBL's virtual draft held on Saturday.

Aside from making history as the top pick of the Philippine's first pro women's basketball league, Cainglet knew about the news in a memorable way — while performing an operation in the hospital.

"Thank you WNBL! Literal nagtatahi ako dito sa OR habang umiiyak," Cainglet said.

Aside from Cainglet, Glutagence Glow Boosters picked Camille Claro, Khate Castillo, Camille Sambile, April Lualhati, Nic Cancio, Carol Sangalang, Raiza Palmera-Dy, Nicky Garcia, Samantha Tan, Ays Hufanda, and Camille Ramos.
