Franz Pumaren parts ways with Adamson University
Franz Pumaren has left his post as head coach of the Adamson University men's basketball team.
In a statement released on Tuesday, AdU said Pumaren will focus on his work as councilor of Quezon City's third district.
"The whole Adamson community would like to thank Coach Franz Pumaren for his unselfish sharing of his time and talent with the Adamson Men's Varsity team, masterfully lifting once again the standing of the Falcons in the prestigious UAAP league," the university said.
"His unique brand of coaching has carried the Falcons through several respectable finishes in the last five UAAP seasons which were considered by the Adamson community as the most electrifying Falcon seasons by far."

Under Pumaren, the San Marcelino-based squad had three playoff finishes in from 2016 to 2018. In UAAP Season 82, the Falcons missed the Final Four bus after ending up with a 4-10 record.
Prior to Adamson, Pumaren also handled professional teams such as Air21 and GlobalPort in the PBA.
